DALLAS —September 15, 2020 – Move Solutions, a Dallas-based nationwide provider of commercial relocation services, has sponsored Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) in support of its work to fight criminal child abuse. The company is a Gold Sponsor of “Aim for Advocacy,” DCAC’s upcoming annual fundraiser, September 16 at the Dallas Gun Club. The event engages sporting and outdoor enthusiasts in DCAC’s mission and raises more than $300,000 each year.
“The work DCAC does on behalf of children is critically important on many levels,” said Move Solutions Founder and CEO Michael Monette. “From educating first responders on best practices, to providing comprehensive therapy and supplying essential food, clothing and urgent-need items to children unable to return home. These services provide hope and healing for the most severely abused children in Dallas County.”
Monette noted that DCAC is the only agency of its kind fighting criminal child abuse in Dallas County and serves more than 7,300 children and their non-offending family members each year.
Move Solutions’ support will help fund DCAC’s multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases, which serves every zip code in Dallas County. This year the agency is projected to serve 7,500 children and families – its highest number of clients to date and especially important during the current public health crisis when an increasing number of children are exposed to family financial stress.
“Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center is extremely thankful to Move Solutions for its generous sponsorship,” said Lynn Davis, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center President and Chief Executive Officer. “With this support, DCAC will be able to continue to fight for justice for children in Dallas County who have suffered unspeakable abuse.”
